Their love story as shared by Iheanyi:

Sometimes, love walks into your life wearing an intern’s badge, and before you know it, she has become your favourite person in the world. Weyinmi joined the company as an intern in 2022, and let’s just say she caught my attention pretty quickly. I was a manager; she was an intern. I noticed her beauty, her smile, the way she walked, and those legs. I won’t even lie. Sometimes, I genuinely thought she was catwalking just to get my attention. Till today, I haven’t ruled out that possibility. Somewhere along the way, she started hitching rides home with me, and I think that was when the chemistry started doing its thing. I was always happy to take her home. In fact, I remember one evening when I was working late, and she left without telling me, taking public transport instead. I was inexplicably angry, and even she couldn’t understand why. Looking back, I think my heart had already started making decisions my head hadn’t caught up with.

In early 2023, I made my first move. She dismissed me. Perhaps she wanted me to work harder, or perhaps the timing simply wasn’t right. Whatever the case, later that year, we shared a kiss that started as a joke. A “mistake,” if you ask us. But sometimes, the things we call accidents are the moments that change everything. We officially started dating in April 2024, and what followed was an experience I can only describe as special. Different. Beautiful in ways I hadn’t anticipated. Our journey hasn’t been without its complications. We had a rather controversial start to our journey to oneness. Those who know, know, but through it all, what has remained undeniable is what we share and what we continue to choose together.

The truth is, there wasn’t one grand moment when I knew Weyinmi was the one. It was the entire experience of being with her. It was how happy she made me, how much peace I found in her, and how naturally she became part of my everyday life. I remember how I would get upset whenever she had to leave to go home. One day, I finally told her, “I don’t want you to go home anymore. I need you here all the time.”

And that, in its own way, said everything.

I love her beauty, of course, but I love so much more than what the eyes can see. I love that she wants to do everything with me, even the things that make absolutely no sense. I love her kindness, her wonderfully funny personality (even though I keep telling her she’s so dry), and the way she can be such a crybaby. I love that I get to pamper her, reassure her, and be there for her. And I love her family, whose warmth reminds me so much of my own.

At the start of 2026, I made a decision: I was going to ask Weyinmi to marry me. It became my biggest goal for the year, and I was determined to make it happen. After plenty of planning struggles and hiccups, June 13, 2026, arrived. My birthday. At IITA, Ibadan, I asked the woman who had become my peace, my happiness, and my favourite person to spend the rest of her life with me. It was magical. And yes, she was surprised. Looking back, proposing to my baby was by far the easiest decision I have ever had to make.

Today, I find myself looking forward to a future that once might have scared me. Not because I suddenly have all the answers, but because I know who I want beside me as we figure it all out. I look forward to building with her. To make more beautiful memories. To watch her grow and become better alongside her. To the ordinary days, the unexpected adventures, the laughter, the tears, and all the little moments that will make our life ours.

I don’t know everything the future holds for us, but I know I’m confident walking into it with her. Weymss, choosing you is a decision I will keep making every day, for the rest of my life. And if I had to do it all over again? I’d probably still notice those legs first. But I’d choose your heart, your peace, your laughter, and your love every single time. Here’s to us, baby. Our forever starts here… and that, my friends, is how #IheanyiFoundHisWey. 🥂❤️

Weyinmi and Iheanyi also had really cute pre-wedding photos, and we are loving them!
