In a room full of people, my heart picked her before I got to know her name. The first time I saw her, something in me just knew. Not in a loud, dramatic way or confusing manner either. But in that deep, unshakable way that says: “That’s her. She’s the one.” She wasn’t trying to stand out. She was just being herself, calm, beautiful, present. And still, the whole room faded when my eyes found hers.
I told my brothers that night, ‘I just saw my wife’. They laughed, I didn’t because I meant it.
