Every love story is unique, but there’s something universally magical about the moment two people decide to be together forever. Ndi came to this sweet conclusion and planned a beautiful proposal for Chisom.

The lovebirds were both Engineering students in the same school when they met. After spending so much time texting, getting to know each other and aligning their future goals, Ndi knew his heart belonged to Chisom, and when the right time came, he acted upon it in grand style. It was supposed to be just another year around the sun for Chisom, but this time it came with a ring! As they walked up the cliff, she had no idea of the beautiful surprise waiting for her. It was an all-white decor, filled with beautiful flowers and candles. Overlooking the sparkling Mexican waters, Ndi got down on one knee, asked Chisom to marry him…and she said yes! Now forever is knocking, and the lovebirds have surely opened up the door. Love has won once again, from a birthday trip to forever…and we are absolutely here for it! 😍

We met in our second year of university in 2017, both studying engineering, him in Information and Communication Engineering, and I in Mechanical Engineering. We didn’t meet in the same building; we actually started talking online during a school break. What began as casual conversations slowly grew into a real friendship, and eventually, love. After graduating and completing our NYSC, we had honest conversations about our future. We both wanted more for growth, education, and a better life.

That shared vision led us to pursue postgraduate studies, and on the same day, we travelled from Nigeria to Canada together, stepping into a new chapter side by side. Years later, what I thought was simply a birthday trip to Mexico became unforgettable. While I was celebrating another year of life, he was preparing to ask me to spend forever with him. In the most beautiful and unexpected moment, he proposed, turning a birthday trip into the beginning of our forever. From late-night conversations to crossing continents, our story has always been about choosing each other, again and again
