You know that saying, “First impressions last longer”? Well, it turns out it’s true, and it very much applies even to matters of the heart.

The first time Johnson set eyes on Fisayo, she left an impression on him, and he could tell she was special. As fate would have it, they met again, and this time, Cupid was working behind the scenes to make a sweet love story happen. Thankfully, they connected afterwards in the DMs, and Johnson wasted no time in shooting his shot. Now, they are choosing forever, and we are super pumped! It all started at a Thanksgiving hangout in 2022, hosted by a mutual friend. In the middle of the games and laughter, one person stood out immediately: Fisayo. She was energetic and ridiculously competitive. The kind of competition that makes everyone laugh, but also makes you want to win even more. I remember watching her and thinking to myself, “Wait… who is this babe?” On the ride back home with my friend IB that night, I couldn’t shake the thought. I told him, “There’s something about this Fisayo girl’s energy.” I didn’t know it then, but that moment was the beginning of something much bigger.

Fast forward to December that same year, and somehow we found ourselves at another friend’s event. This time, Fisayo was the one behind the camera, taking pictures of everyone. Later that month, she “slid” into my Instagram DMs. Now, she will insist to this day that she was only sending me the pictures she had taken earlier… but I definitely took that as a green light lol. So I did what any reasonable guy would do: I asked for her WhatsApp number. From there, we talked and talked and talked some more. For about two months, our conversations grew longer, easier, and more meaningful. Then, on February 19th, 2023, I made it official and asked her to be my girlfriend. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Our story began in the fall of 2022 at a Thanksgiving gathering (shoutout to Dara for hosting!). A few weeks later, we crossed paths again at a Christmas party in early December 2022, and that’s when I noticed him. I remember thinking, hmm… this guy is not bad at all (lol). After the party, Johnson insists that I slid into his DMs. In my defence, I was just trying to send him pictures from the party… or at least that’s what I tell myself ;). From that moment on, we started talking, and Johnson was intentional from the very beginning. Around Christmas, he invited me to another gathering at a family friend’s house, and somewhere between the conversations and the laughter, I fell for him. In February 2023, Johnson asked me to be his girlfriend, and on June 14, 2025, he asked me to be his wife. Now, I’m beyond excited to spend forever with my best friend, my partner, and my padi for life.
