They say if you want something, you have to go for it head-on! From the moment Quadri set eyes on Simi during the Detty December buzz five years ago, he knew he wanted to win her heart, and he was ready to put in the effort.

Even though Simi wasn’t keen on doing long distance with a “Lagos boy,” it’s amazing how this same guy managed to win her over with his charm. Fast-forward to 2025, Quadri popped the big question, and Simi said yes! Now, it’s all love in the air as these sweethearts get ready to begin their forever journey. We met during Detty December in 2021, and on New Year’s Day, Quadri approached me at Bolivar. What followed was his persistent attempt to win my heart, despite my insistence that I didn’t want a long-distance relationship, especially with a Lagos boy! Quadri was intentional, caring, and determined. Even when I returned to Canada, he remained consistent, and by December 2022, we reconnected.

When he asked me to be his girlfriend in early 2023, I took a leap of faith, knowing deep down that he was my person. In September 2025, he proposed, and today, we’re married and finally done with long distance. Looking back, choosing each other was one of the best decisions we’ve made, and I’m grateful we get to build our future together.
