Love sure knows how to find you when you are not even looking. Unknown to Elizabeth, this handsome stranger named Alexander had been admiring her from afar. When their eyes finally locked, it was like time paused.
They went from sipping mojitos at the cinema on their first date to a perfectly planned proposal, which Elizabeth thought was just a birthday party! Their journey has been nothing short of magical ever since they met. Through the years, they’ve built a love so pure and strong, and now, it’s leading them to the altar. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows to love and to cherish forever. They also had a vibrant Igbo traditional ceremony to honour Elizabeth’s rich cultural roots, and it was every shade of beautiful!
Enjoy their wedding photos and love story below:
Their love story as shared by Elizabeth:
It all began on a seemingly ordinary Saturday in 2016, in the middle of Primark, Peckham. Alex had been quietly admiring me from afar, unnoticed until one random day, our eyes finally met. I caught him watching me, and in that split second, something sparked. Our first conversation was as unexpected as it was unforgettable. I turned to Alex and asked, “Are you white?” To which he grinned and said, “I’ve got Jewish descent!” And just like that… the story began.
Our first official date was in Greenwich: “The Jungle Book” in the cinema, mojitos in hand, and hours that melted away as we deliberately missed trains and buses, just to stay wrapped up in each other’s words. That night, we didn’t just fall in love with each other we fell in love with the idea of forever. As time passed, so did doubt. But love grew louder. The more we discovered about each other, the more we felt like this wasn’t just a relationship it was something real, something rare.
With every laugh, every challenge, and every quiet moment, we built a foundation of deep friendship, trust, and love that neither of us wanted to let go of. Then, on December 8th, 2023 what was meant to be a surprise birthday party for me became an even bigger surprise: a heartfelt, intimate proposal. In front of loved ones, Alex asked me to be his forever. And without hesitation, I said yes.
Fast forward to May 20th, 2025 surrounded by God, family, and friends our souls officially became one. In a celebration woven with faith, elegance richness and honor of the Igbo tradition, vibrant attire, blessings from parents and generations past, We said I do. From that Primark glance to a lifetime of love, this is a story of two hearts who chose each other again and again, no matter what.
