They say timing is everything, and for Sarah-Louise and Iyosayi, it seems love arrived at exactly the right moment. Their story began in the most unexpected place and time — the KPMG coffee area, where a mutual friend introduced them during a week of transition.

Iyosayi was just joining the firm while Sarah-Louise was preparing to leave, making their first meeting seem like it could easily have been a fleeting one. But as fate would have it, what started as a brief encounter soon blossomed into intentional conversations that stretched beyond office hours, and a friendship that quietly grew into something much more. Fast-forward to a romantic proposal in Greece, where Sarah-Louise said yes to the man who had stolen her heart, and now, they’ve said “I do” in the most beautiful fairytale setting at Hedsor House.

And what a celebration it was! Inspired by the elegance of Bridgerton and styled as a sophisticated black-tie affair, every detail of their wedding was thoughtfully curated to feel straight out of a romance novel. Sarah-Louise’s bespoke reception dress alone took over nine months to create and featured more than 100,000 hand-applied beads! 😍 From the breathtaking fashion and timeless décor to the love and joy that filled the day, Iyosayi and Sarah-Louise’s wedding was truly a celebration worth swooning over.

They say timing is everything, and ours was nothing short of divine. We met at the KPMG coffee area, introduced by a mutual friend during a week of transition. Iyosayi was just joining, and I was leaving the firm. You would think that would be the end of it, but something about that brief meeting resonated with us. A few days later, Iyosayi found himself at my leaving drinks. Barely a colleague, but already curious. We spoke, we laughed and before we knew it, a connection had been made. What started as a fleeting moment turned into intentional conversations, messages that continued well past office hours and a friendship that quietly grew.

Even though our time at KPMG barely overlapped, it was more than enough for something meaningful to begin. God intentionally saw it fit to ensure Iyosayi started at the company a week earlier than originally scheduled and I left a week late – just so that our paths crossed. As the months went on, so did the milestones…from coffees and catch-ups to prayers, plans and promises. Now here we are, getting ready to say, “I do”, thankful for that chance introduction and even more grateful that what started as a hello in a corporate coffee area is now the beginning of forever.

Our first date was one to remember. We spent the evening at The Dorchester, surrounded by elegance and conversation that flowed effortlessly. Not long after, I surprised Iyosayi with thoughtful gifts to help him settle into his new home. It was a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes. That’s when he knew this was the beginning of something truly special. On my 30th birthday, at the stunning Stella Island resort and bent on one knee, Iyosayi asked me to say “yes” to forever. Under the golden sun of Greece, with calm waters and palm trees swaying, it was the very perfect setting I said “yes” and in that special moment for us, everything felt just right.
