From “Happy Birthday” To “I do!” Check Out Nneka & Francis’ Igbo Trad in Charlotte

Love has no manual and can literally happen anytime and anywhere. Emphasis on anywhere, as love is not bound by location or borders! For Nneka and Francis, it all started with a birthday wish on Facebook and now, it has evolved into something so beautiful!

Nneka and Francis have now taken that Facebook acquaintance into a love that lasts forever. They tied the knot in a beautiful Igbo traditional wedding in Charlotte, North Carolina. The lovebirds brought Nigeria to the US as the culture, great vibes and all the beauty that comes with Nigerian weddings were fully represented. You’ll definitely love scrolling through their lovely wedding photos and love story.

Enjoy their love story as shared by Nneka and wedding photos below.

Their love story according to Nneka:

Francis and I met on Facebook, we are not sure who added who first, but somehow, we were Facebook friends. Francis slid into my DM in 2019 on my birthday.

I posted a picture of myself on Facebook and Francis (who apparently had been noticing me on Facebook already), sent me birthday well wishes.

Francis was on a road trip to Chicago with some of his friends, they then noticed he was browsing intensely through my profile.

They encouraged him to then send me a DM, and he figured “she would at least say thank you”. Well, he sent the DM and we kept in touch.

After some time, Francis came to visit me in Houston from Kentucky (where he was doing his Master’s degree). Our first date was at Peli Peli in the Galleria area.

After that, we could not stay away from each other, we started a long-distance relationship until he completed his program, after which he moved to Houston, Texas!

Our love grew quickly and deeply. When love hits you out of nowhere, you roll with the punches!!
