Have you ever set your eyes on someone and, in that moment, it felt like the world paused for a second? That must have been exactly how Sunkanmi felt the first time he saw the beautiful Nike.

It all began on a fateful day when Nike was out on a date with her sister. As fate would have it, Sunkanmi happened to be at the same restaurant and couldn’t take his eyes off her table. Eventually, his lingering stares made perfect sense when he eventually asked for her contact.

What started as a beautiful friendship soon blossomed into a sweet love story, and today, they are giving us a glimpse of that sweetness through their stunning pre-wedding photos. Their undeniable chemistry and their stylish looks make every frame such a delight to see.

It all started on a random June day in 2025, just a simple sisters’ date. Just vibes, food, and gist. Then, suddenly, enter one mysterious man with Olympic‑level staring skills. My sister and I kept making fun of the situation. “Why is this boy looking at us like we’re the season finale of his favourite show? If he wants to shoot his shot at any of us, he should and not finish us with his eyes.” So when he asked the attendants to get one of our numbers as we were leaving, we just looked at each other like, “Ah. Finally.”
We started talking. Then talking turned into friendship. Friendship turned into “good morning, have you eaten?” And before we knew it, his voice became the part of my day I looked forward to the most. If we didn’t talk, my whole day felt incomplete. Unbalanced. Like something important was missing. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one feeling that way, apparently I had a permanent throne in his heart from day one.

Now, let me be honest. At first, I was nervous. I had my doubts. I kept thinking, “God, please… don’t let this be another chapter in Nearly All the Men in Lagos Are Mad.”
But this man?
He came with peace.
He came with intention.
He came with love that didn’t make me question myself.
He showed me effortlessly that I didn’t need to be cautious with him. It felt like God moulded him with my name in mind, like He said, “Here, this one is yours.”
And when he popped the question, my heart didn’t even hesitate. I knew I wanted forever with him. I knew I wanted to wake up beside him, laugh with him, grow with him, pray with him, and build a life that feels like home. It’s only been nine months, but somehow it feels like we’ve known each other since childhood. Like our souls recognised each other long before our eyes did.
