Sweet and Godstime found each other during their service year, and what started as a simple friendship slowly blossomed into a love story written in the sweetest little moments. Their time together quietly drew their hearts closer, and now, they’re getting to spend forever together. Their love story, as shared by Sweet:

We met during our NYSC service year at Egor Local Government through the FRSC CDS group. What started as a simple friendship, thanks to our mutual friends, gradually became something more special. As we got to know each other, we spent more time talking and enjoying each other’s company. One day, he accompanied me to the NYSC Secretariat. When we got there, I realised I had worn the wrong pair of shoes. Without a second thought, he took off his own shoes and gave them to me so I could be more comfortable. Even though they were a little too big for me, the gesture spoke volumes. It was one of the first moments that showed me how thoughtful and caring he was.

From then on, every CDS meeting became something I looked forward to. He had a way of capturing the sweetest candid moments, always taking the cutest photos of me. Looking back now, I realise those photos weren’t just photos, they captured the beginning of a beautiful friendship that slowly blossomed into something much deeper. Sometimes, love doesn’t begin with grand gestures. Sometimes, it starts with a simple act of kindness, shared conversations, thoughtful moments, and someone quietly making your days a little brighter.
