They met for the first time at a restaurant, and even though they didn’t get a chance to speak, fate aligned their paths to cross again. This time, it was a no-brainer to realise they had something special. Even in the midst of blocking and unblocking, years apart and life’s many twists and turns, they somehow kept finding their way back to each other. Now, they’re choosing forever, and their beautiful proposal has us all loved up! Their love story as shared by Michael:

I met my fiancée back in university in 2020. Funny enough, we first met at a restaurant, but we didn’t actually have a conversation. We just kept staring at each other. She caught my attention, but I honestly thought that was going to be the end of it. A few weeks later, a mutual friend tagged her on Instagram, and that was my opportunity. I followed her, we started talking, became friends and eventually met up a few times. But things didn’t exactly go smoothly from there. 😂

We had our fair share of disagreements, back and forth, reconciliations… and even a few rounds of getting blocked on every social platform imaginable. Eventually, it all came to an end in 2022, and we went our separate ways. Then, completely out of nowhere, in October 2024, she unblocked me. Somehow, we started talking again, and this time, everything just felt different. We connected in a way we never had before, and before we knew it, we had fallen deeply in love.

I asked her to be my girlfriend on the 14th of December 2024, and from that point, everything became so serious, so beautiful, and so real. I kept wondering how it took us all those years to realise just how much we could love each other. Looking back, I think we were always meant to find our way back to each other. She’s my soulmate, my best friend, my person and everything I could ever ask for. After all the years, the distance, the arguments, the blocking and unblocking 😂… somehow, we still found our way back home to each other.
And this time, I knew I wanted it to last forever.
