Sometimes, even in the most unlikely situations, love has a way of showing up in the most pleasant way.  For Nambam and Jeremiah, their fairytale began in the middle of an intense work training, where neither of them had any idea that they had just crossed paths with their future spouse.

They were both focused on getting through the early mornings, gruelling drills and busy training schedule, barely more than familiar faces to each other. When the training ended and they went their separate ways, life carried on. But love had other plans! In 2023, an unexpected Instagram follow brought them back into each other’s orbit. Before long, friendship blossomed, they grew increasingly fond of each other, and something beautiful began to take shape. Now, these two are on a forever journey, and we’re so excited to see their beautiful love story unfold. The love story as shared by the Nambam:

If someone had told us during a work training in 2022 that we were looking at our future spouse, we probably would have laughed. We had both joined a government institution and were undergoing intense training- shorts, early mornings, gruelling drills, exhaustion and everything in between. 😂 We knew each other’s faces and occasionally saw each other, but we never actually spoke. Looking back, it’s funny to think that we were in the same place, breathing the same air, completely unaware that God had already allowed our paths to cross. When training ended in December, we were posted to different locations and life moved on.

Then, in 2023, an unexpected Instagram follow by him brought us back into each other’s lives. What started as a simple “I know this person” quickly became regular conversations. Texts turned into phone calls, phone calls into video calls, and before long, talking to each other had become part of our everyday lives. Friendship grew naturally, and somewhere along the way, we became increasingly fond of each other. Neither of us knew exactly where it was heading, but God was quietly building something beautiful. In August 2024, everything began to change. During a particularly difficult season in my life, he was there for me, our friendship deepened, and he became a source of comfort, laughter and support for me. Around the same time, he travelled to my state for a meeting and surprised me.

The love story as shared by the Jeremiah:

While we were having breakfast, as I drove with her sitting beside me, I experienced what I can only describe as a gentle prompting from the Holy Spirit: “My son, open your eyes. Look properly at the woman sitting beside you.” I suddenly saw her differently—not simply as my friend, but as a beautiful woman of character and faith, someone I believed God was pleased with. I prayed, reflected and sought God’s direction, and eventually told her that my intentions had changed. I asked her to pray about it, and in October 2024, she gave me her answer. From that moment, our journey from friendship to love officially began. Since August 2024, there has hardly been a day we haven’t spoken, even across different time zones.

Somewhere between the late-night conversations, laughter, vulnerability, prayers, and simply being there for each other, we fell in love. Looking back, we are grateful that our story did not begin with love at first sight. It began with two people completely unaware that they had just met the person they would one day call their husband or wife. What began with a quiet meeting in 2022 became a reconnection in 2023, friendship in 2024, love, and now, forever. God was writing our story long before we knew it had begun—and in His beautiful sense of humour, He took two people who once couldn’t even say “hello” and began the process of making them ONE. ❤️
