A Christmas party I never intended to attend would become the beginning of a love story neither of us could have imagined. Just one week before I was set to head to Nigeria for Christmas, I decided last minute to attend my office’s end-of-the-year party, where Patrick happened to be bartending. What seemed like an ordinary evening would quietly become one of the most meaningful days of both our lives.
There, amid the music, laughter, and celebration, Patrick found the courage to ask the question that would change everything: “I have to ask, because you’re too gorgeous not to… can I take you on a date sometime?” And with those words, a story began.

Through the years that followed, we discovered that love is not simply found in the beautiful moments, but built through every season of life. We celebrated the highs, held one another through the lows, and learned that even in the deepest moments of grief (including the loss of my mother), love could remain a source of strength, comfort, and hope.
With every passing day, our love grew deeper.
Now, we celebrate that love in a way that is uniquely ours; not one wedding, but two, embracing the cultures, traditions, and families that shaped us. Each celebration is a reflection of who we are together- elegant, intentional, and unapologetically ours. What began with an unexpected invitation and one courageous question has become a lifetime we get to choose, cherish, and build together. Forever and always.
