While some people find love because of the things they have in common, sometimes, the sweetest love stories happen when two people are complete opposites. And for Fatimah and Aliyu, theirs is a beautiful case of opposites attracting.

Aliyu had seen Fatimah’s photos on Instagram and was instantly hooked. He wasted no time getting her contact from a friend and sliding into her DMs. Well, one conversation led to another, and before long, these two had grown so fond of each other and realised that life was simply better together. Now, they’re choosing to embark on their forever journey, and we’re so excited for them! He reached out to me on WhatsApp after one of my brothers gave him my number. We started talking, and as time went by, we became more comfortable with each other and grew fond of one another. He is quiet and soft, while I’m the complete opposite. I guess that’s part of what makes us work so well. I realized I was truly in love with him when he played a prank on me, telling me that we were going to go our separate ways. I cried because I genuinely thought he was serious. 😂 That was when I knew I couldn’t imagine losing him.

I first came across her on Instagram and was immediately interested in getting to know her. I asked a friend for her phone number and reached out to her. What started as a simple introduction gradually grew into meaningful conversations, friendship, and eventually, love. Little did I know that reaching out that day would lead me to the woman I would one day call my wife.
