Initeme & Osagie Bumped Into Each Other Twice and Fell In Love! Enjoy Their Ijaw-Edo Trad

There are times in people’s lives when they decide to go about their day completely unaware of the fact that Cupid has set a sweet plan in motion.

What was meant to be a fun night out with friends for Initeme and Osagie turned out to be the perfect meet-cute. Even though they didn’t get to have a proper conversation, they crossed paths again a few days later… talk about fate! They hit things up from there and now, it’s a sweet love song!

The Ijaw Beauty and Edo Prince Charming had a traditional wedding to seal their sweet love forever. It was a rich display of culture and we love how they were able to beautifully infuse both of their roots. They look so cute together and we are absolutely rooting for them as they embark on their forever journey!

Enjoy their wedding photos and love story below:

Their love story as shared by Initeme:

I was out with friends, having a blast at one of my favourite spots, thanks to Timi’s invite. Michelle came along, and the evening was already fantastic. Then, out of nowhere, I felt a tap on my shoulder. There he was, Justin, smiling ear to ear at me. Now, I’m usually standoffish, hate being chatted up – hate it! But his warmth felt familiar. Surprisingly, I found myself smiling back. He introduced himself, asked for my number. I declined, but he gracefully walked away. Yet, he lingered in my thoughts all evening. That Edo juju must’ve been working overtime because I couldn’t resist asking Michelle if she knew him – turns out, she did.

Did someone say, gorgeous bride?

Days later, a friend invited me for a birthday party. Guess who showed up? Justin, wearing that same charming smile and looking sharp. He broke the ice with tequila shots, and I, forgetting all about stranger danger, joined in. It was a closed party, so I wasn’t in any imminent danger. Justin felt familiar again, and it was genuinely nice seeing him. We talked a lot, and I secretly hoped he’d ask for my number again. But he disappeared momentarily to fetch something from his car. I waited, but my friend Kari was ready to leave. She even joked that the guy I was waiting for had gone home! Confused, I left, but I knew I’d see him again.

Back home, before even dropping my bag, a message popped up on social media. I knew it was him even before checking. Excited, I replied with the coldest “Good evening,” playing hard to get with my coconut head. Finally, he asked for my number, I gave it to him! 😂😂😂 Our first phone conversation lasted about three hours straight. It felt crazy, like talking to a safe haven or a long-lost friend. And as they say, the rest is history. We’ve been inseparable ever since. He says my smile attracted him, but little does he know, it was his presence that made me smile that night.

An Ijaw bride in all her beauty

Their love story as shared by Osagie:

Once upon a time in Lagos, I ventured out after weeks of Lent, sipping Hennessy at “Sip Lounge” in VI. Amidst the crowd, my eyes landed on a lady in a black jumpsuit with a smile her smile that could light up the entire space. Without hesitation, I shared my admiration about this lady with my friend. “Ahn ahn, na sweet baby girl o,” .. ‘Go for it Jay’, he said. ‘You only live once’. I approached her table. Though she was polite in her responses but hesitant to share her number.

Let’s check out the dapper groom

Two days later, I found myself at a friend’s sister’s birthday party at Kali in VI and there she was again, the lady I couldn’t forget. This time, I approached her, and she gave this polite nod, but I could see the gears turning in her head trying to place me. So, I dropped a subtle hint about our previous encounter, and boom! Recognition dawned on her.

It was a memorable reintroduction, filled with laughter, music, and the promise of new connections. We engaged in conversation, and it felt like we’d known each other for ages. But fate had other plans – I was whisked away by a friend, only to find her gone upon my return. Kicking myself for not getting her contact info, but her unique name “Teme” lingered in my head. Thanks to the power of social media, I found her. Sliding into her DMs, I made sure not to let this second chance slip through my fingers. The rest, as they say is history – a tale of serendipity that shaped our journey together. 🥂
