Kelechi was no stranger to Omar, but it never once crossed his mind that something deeper could exist between them. However, at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, he began to realise there was something quietly pulling at his heart. Even when it seemed like love was out of reach, it was only a matter of time before they both understood that what they shared was something they couldn’t ignore.

That realisation led to a magical proposal in Milan, and now, they are on a beautiful ride to happily ever after. The lovebirds are giving us so much sweetness to swoon over with their stunning pre-wedding photos, with every frame capturing pure chemistry, joy, and love. 😍

Their love story, as shared by Omar:

We had known each other passively for a while. I fancied her at the time but didn’t think much of it; besides, she wasn’t even in Nigeria at the time. Fast forward to the year 2020, before the COVID pandemic and the subsequent lockdown, we were able to have an actual conversation. After a few months of persistent and intentional conversations, we arrived at the decision to give it a trial.
We kept at it, had our fair share of beautiful moments and turbulent times, some we were able to get through and others, not quite. We took some time off to focus on ourselves and our personal growth & advancement. This was the catalyst we didn’t realise we needed. A year or so later, we reconnected and rekindled our relationship. We were pragmatic, determined, prioritised, and focused solely on ourselves.

We were on vacation last year in Milan, and she agreed to be my wife when I asked her to marry me. I knew I was ready to have this woman be my wife. In her, I’d found a friend, a lover, my confidant and my wingman. In the month of September, my family and I travelled to see her family. We went to seek her hand in marriage. After a brief deliberation with them and their subsequent approval, we were welcomed to the family wholeheartedly, a wholesome experience. This is the beginning of our forever journey. Our wedding plans took flight shortly afterwards.
