Your job description may outline your role and responsibilities at work… but what if it also came with a sweet love story? Just keep reading Margaret and Fikayo’s beautiful story to see how possible it really is.
The lovebirds met at work, and their fairytale began when Margaret happened to be absent from a work event. He decided to check in when she resumed, and little did he know that it was the beginning of something truly special. Soon, they were taking walks to the station after work and bonding. So much so, it led to their first date in London. It was so electric and magical! Their bond blossomed into something much more beautiful, and it has led them all the way to their romantic proposal in Thailand! The beautiful white-themed decor and the lovely sunset melted Margaret’s heart, and when Fikayo got down on one knee to ask that life-changing question, her heart was already set… she said yes! The lovebirds are on their way to forever, and we are so excited to share in their joy. 😍

Their love story, as shared by Margaret:
I never quite believed people when they said they “just knew” they had met the one, until it happened to me. We first met at work after I missed a session he was hosting for both our teams. To my surprise, he noticed I was not there, and when I returned from annual leave, he was the first to ask me why. What started as a simple conversation quickly became something we both looked forward to. Casual lunchtime check-ins turned into longer, more intentional moments, and quiet walks to the station after work. Before long, we exchanged numbers, and that led to our first date. We spent eight hours exploring the streets of London, talking, laughing, and completely losing track of time. We stayed out until it was dark, holding onto every moment just a little longer. Somewhere between the laughter and the silence, I realised how much I did not want it to end.

Fast forward to January 2026. He planned a trip to Thailand to celebrate my birthday, a destination I had always dreamed of visiting. What I thought would be a simple pre-birthday dinner became the most thoughtful and unforgettable proposal. As someone who loves sunsets, I have always seen them as one of God’s most beautiful expressions of love. So walking into a moment that reflected something so personal to me, so intentionally created, meant more than I could ever put into words. In that moment, it was not just an easy yes, it was a certain one. A yes to a love that felt calm, intentional, and meant for me.
