There are so many reasons why we love traditional weddings. The beauty and most importantly, interesting cultures of different tribes are some of the wonderful things on our list.
The Ijaws have a profoundly fun wedding culture where the bride frowns and/or refuses to smile and her in-laws must try to convince her to smile by showering her with money and gifts. She doesn’t break into a smile until she is satisfied. This beautiful bride, Benita did her best to hold in the laughter as she got sprayed by her new family. Her struggle to maintain a frown is so cute, and the excitement when she eventually does is absolutely contagious. You will find yourself grinning from ear to ear as you watch this video.
