Some love stories begin in the most unexpected places. For us, it started with a simple connection on Instagram that would eventually grow into a beautiful journey of love, patience, and commitment. When David and I first connected online, neither of us could have imagined how meaningful that moment would become. What began as casual messages quickly turned into deeper conversations. We found ourselves talking about everything, our dreams, our values, our lives and before long, those conversations became the highlight of our days. Although there was a strong connection between us, there was one obvious challenge: distance. Our relationship became a long-distance one for five years. But instead of letting the distance weaken what we had, we chose to be intentional about making our relationship work.

Communication became the foundation of our love. When we weren’t together in person, we spent hours on the phone every single day. Talking, laughing, sharing our days, and encouraging one another became part of our routine. One of our sweetest habits was falling asleep on the phone together. Even when miles separated us, those quiet moments made us feel close. We also made travel a priority. Whenever we could, we planned visits and made the effort to see each other.
