14 Years After Meeting in Uni, Dara & Tosin Are Saying Yes to Forever!

One’s stay in the university can sometimes feel like a fleeting phase — one where you simply earn a degree and move on. However, in the process of earning one, you also get to meet some truly amazing people… and who knows? One of them could turn out to be the love of your life.

Dara met Tosin while they were in university 14 years ago, and even though they cannot quite remember the exact moment their paths crossed, they both know that the four years they spent together in school created a friendship that stayed with them long after graduation.

Now, the lovebirds are saying yes to a lifetime of bliss as they exchange vows in a beautiful white wedding ceremony. They both showed up looking absolutely stunning, and the breathtaking outdoor setting made the celebration feel even more magical. We also love how their day was filled with so much personality and fun. From the basketball game to the bouncy castles and the playful energy all around, you could easily tell this is a story about two best friends getting married. Their love story, as shared by Dara:

We first crossed paths in 2012 during our very first year at Babcock University. The funny part? Neither of us can actually remember how we met, so no “meet-cute” moment here, just two people whose lives quietly intertwined. What we do remember is how our friendship blossomed over four years of conversations and shared classes. Even after graduation, we stayed in touch, cheering each other on through life’s ups and downs. In 2019, life took us in different directions: Tosin moved to Canada, and I to the U.S. for grad school. Though oceans apart, we still checked in occasionally, swapping stories about school, work, relationships, and always celebrating each other’s milestones. Fast forward to July 2023. I had just moved to Canada when fate stepped in.

By chance, we ran into each other at a mutual friend’s house in Toronto. One conversation turned into an entire evening of laughter and catching up. Tosin then asked if I would be open to exploring something deeper than friendship. Unsure at first, I hesitated, but God clearly had other plans. A cancelled work trip meant Tosin stayed in town, and the days that followed were filled with endless conversations. From that point on, we’ve been inseparable. On September 27, 2023, Tosin asked me to be his girlfriend. And on April 27, 2025, he asked me to be his wife. What began as an ordinary uni friendship has grown into the most extraordinary love story, and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together.
