We are absolutely obsessed with love stories, and this one was definitely a divine orchestration. Uyai and Dele were both in Pontedera, Italy, for one reason — to seek God. However, neither of them had any idea they were about to find that and so much more.

One fateful day, they found themselves taking a walk together, and before they knew it, they were on a sightseeing adventure. They had the kind of conversation that flows so effortlessly that you completely lose track of time, and it wasn’t long before love found its way into their story. Now, they are set to spend the rest of their lives together, and their pre-wedding photos are beaming with so much warmth, joy, and undeniable chemistry. Their journey is a beautiful love story written by God’s perfect timing, and we’re so excited to share how it all began.

Their love story, as shared by Uyai:

We met at Pastor Lawrence Oyor’s Battle Axe Retreat in Italy — two believers, two different cities, both there for God and nothing else. A mutual friend introduced us on an evening walk back from the session, and it was just small talk. Hi’s and hello’s for the rest of the retreat, honestly. Then on the last day, a practical mix of circumstances had us walking together, and someone casually asked, ” You two came together, right?” We laughed it off, but something had already shifted.

He mentioned he was going sightseeing before his flight, and I invited myself along. A train ride to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, an afternoon in the Piazza dei Miracoli — the Square of Miracles — and the kind of conversation where you lose track of time completely. When it was time for him to leave for his flight, I remember thinking, ” This was really, really nice.

He kept in touch from the moment he left, and the conversations just never stopped. The rest, as they say, is history. Month after month, I watched him exceed everything I had hoped for and what I didn’t even know to pray for. God truly writes the best love stories, and I am so grateful this one is mine. 🧡
