Northern weddings are always so rich, vibrant, and full of colour, and today, the beautiful Hafsatu Shimkafi and the love of her life, Abdullahi Aliyu, are giving us a beautiful glimpse of that.
The lovebirds had a lovely Kamu ceremony, which often signifies the ceremonial unveiling of the bride by the groom’s family. For this event, the groom’s family traditionally arrives bearing gifts and, having now been accepted by the bride’s family, they are allowed to unveil the bride as a symbol of acceptance and the official union between both families.
Hafsatu showed up for the ceremony looking absolutely stunning in a colourful pink and gold ensemble that radiated elegance. She later switched into a gorgeous blue saqi outfit, and we love how she embraced culture in such a modern and stylish way. They were surrounded by the warmth of family and friends, and the entire celebration was filled with beauty, love, and rich culture.
