Have you ever met someone and it felt like you had known them all your life… almost like you were coming home, where there is a deep sense of comfort and ease?
That is exactly how it played out for Joy and Fred. Though they had mutual friends and lived in the same neighbourhood, they never really crossed paths until one fateful day. It almost felt like the universe had been waiting for the perfect moment to bring them together, and when it finally did, it was the most amazing thing ever.
Friendship blossomed, and along the way, love also found its way in and quietly took over their hearts. Now, it’s love in the air as they step into forever. They had an intimate civil wedding ceremony and are sharing this charming civil wedding shoot that captures their sweet love. We can’t get over the beauty in each frame, and we bet you’ll love them as much as we do! 😍

The love story as shared by Joy and Fred:
In a world where finding love can sometimes feel like a chore, we discovered something that felt effortless. Not because our lives had been simple, or the journey was without twists and turns, but because loving each other felt like coming home. Alignment. Friendship. Laughter. Shared adventures. the quiet certainty of choosing each other, day after day. Meeting each other felt like running into someone we’ve always known. It was familiar and oddly comfortable. Although we had mutual friends and lived in the same neighbourhood, we never really met. So when we finally did, it felt less like meeting someone new and more like recognising someone who had always been around. Being friends came easily.

The conversations flowed, laughter was natural, and we felt safe being ourselves with each other. There was honesty, ease, and room for vulnerability without fear. Somewhere in all of that, there was a quiet knowing that this was worth paying attention to. So we stayed open, kept talking, and trusted what was unfolding. What started as a friendship quickly grew into intention. We made space for each other easily, with mutual admiration and respect. Choosing each other showed up in the little things. The calls, the check-ins, the short visits after work, sometimes with a wrap of suya. The thoughtfulness, even the random referrals, the showing up. Those small, intentional choices are what brought us here. The moment we gave ourselves permission to pursue this relationship, to truly choose each other, everything began to move.
