We started chatting online, then we didn’t speak for a little while because we had a few silly disagreements, but a few months later we reconciled and began taking our friendship to a relationship level; we spent time together and started to learn about each other’s culture. I’ve always loved learning about people’s traditions that differ from mine, embracing and respecting them. We went on a few vacations, meeting up with some of his friends. I didn’t really think about whether we would be long-term, although he did mention a few times that I would be his wife.

We both bonded immensely over our passion for what we call elite taste in music, views of how life should be and what values are most important. I knew he was serious when he introduced me to his family, as he was very private when it came to his close relatives, and so am I. So far we have had the blessing of the Lord upon us, bringing us together. It seems surreal that your forever person can be out there, especially when you’re not looking for them, and I’m elated that we get to share this rollercoaster of life and love together through the good and the bad.
