The 9th Annual DWP Congress Was a Huge Success – Catch up on all The Highlights!

Hello there, BellaNaija Weddings fam!

Osas here. It has been such an exciting couple of days as I got to take in all the awesomeness of the just concluded DWP (Destination Wedding Planners) Congress in the beautiful city of Doha, Qatar.

I promised to take you with me on this fun ride and I am more than happy to fulfil that promise. If you have been following all the highlights on our Instagram page @bellanaijaweddings, then you most likely haven’t missed much. As your resident lover girl, I’m channelling my sweet lover energy by bringing you up to speed with everything I’ve been up to.

Here is a full rundown of everything that went down at the DWP Congress in Qatar.

I arrived in Qatar on the 14th of March, some hours before the first event which was a welcome cocktail.

The DWP team welcomed us in style with the Arabian Cocktail Welcome night and it truly was a night to remember.

Just when we thought that was all, guests got back into their rooms to a beautiful welcome package from the DWP team. See the content of the welcome package in the recap video below:

Day 2 came with even more colour with the conference and B2B meetings for the first half of the day, followed by the Gala night where everyone was told to come shimmering and glamorous.

 

 

 

Then it was time for the Gala and all the shine and colours came out to play!

It’s the last Day of the DWP congress and the experience would just not be complete without giving you a peek into the environment where this was held. So here’s a mini tour of the St. Regis Hotel, Doha Qatar.

More insights into the world of destination wedding planning as well as a continuation of the B2B meetings coloured the first half of the day.

Then came the masterclasses where the planners got into different groups to learn more about specific areas of the industry.

The event came to a perfect end with an after-party where everyone got to unwind, network and have fun!

It was such an amazing feeling to be a part of this surreal experience. As a lover of love and weddings, going behind the scenes with some of the world’s most talented and sought-after wedding planners and listening to them share their experiences, learnings and growth has opened up an even bigger space in my heart for weddings and the weddings industry.
