2022 was a year of reflection for Tobi, and he prayed to God for a beautiful love. Little did he know that these prayers were heard and about to be answered. Shortly after, he had a prophetic dream about his future bride, and it all began to fall into place when he stumbled on Sorsor’s Instagram page. They had a brief birthday interaction, and by some divine luck, they met again at a wedding in London. The connection was instant and perfect. It didn’t take long for Tobi to realise she was the one for him. Now the lovebirds are getting ready to say ‘I do!’ It’s sweet love, electric chemistry and elegant style in their beachside pre-wedding shoot, and we’re loving every bit of it. Their love is an answered prayer, one truly written in the stars. 😍

2022 was the year I told myself I wanted to start fresh and pursue what I really wanted in life. One of my prayers was for God to bring me a life partner. Little did I know that God had a bigger plan for me. In January 2022, I had a dream—God sent me a vision. I was standing at the top of the aisle at my wedding, and when I turned around, I saw my bride walking towards me. The only thing was, I couldn’t make out who the person was. Fast forward a few months—summer came around, and I was planning to enjoy my summer. One day, I came across a profile on Instagram. It was my beautiful @faaaaay_n (keep in mind, we had no mutual friends, and I definitely wasn’t looking to follow anyone). But her photos caught my eye. She looked amazing, so I decided to follow her. A few days (or maybe weeks) later, I saw her story, and she was celebrating her birthday. As the gentleman that I am, I decided to send her a “Happy Birthday” message—her birthday was literally one day before mine!

After a small delay (a whole day later), I got a response: “Ayy, my new friend. Thank you so much.” I could have easily ignored the message, but it just so happened that it was my birthday, and she followed up with a “Happy Birthday” message to me, too. So, I figured she was a cool person. Nothing much happened after that. We could’ve gone on with our lives and probably wouldn’t have thought much of it. But you know what? God had a bigger plan, and He had already given me my vision. I just wasn’t focused on it at the time. Fast forward to May 20th. I attended a wedding in London. I knew a lot of people would be there, so in classic Tobi fashion, I made sure I looked good, smelled good, and was ready to enjoy myself. I walked into the venue, sunglasses on, and with my usual tunnel vision (mainly because I can’t see without my glasses, but still—you get the vibe). I put on my reading glasses and panned around the room to see who was there.

To my surprise, I spotted the girl I had met on Instagram! And she did not disappoint. She looked even better in person. So I played it cool, decided to enjoy the night, and figured if the opportunity to speak to her arose, I’d take it. At some point during the wedding, i think we hugged and exchanged brief introductions. My brother asked who she was, and I, playing it cool, said, “Just a girl I know through Instagram.” The night went on—DJ was a vibe, and everyone was on the dance floor. Then I turned around, and there she was again. We took that opportunity to dance together. We had one of our friends record that exact moment—if you watch the video, you’d think we’d known each other for years, like it was our wedding! Honestly, it felt like God was showing us a glimpse of what He had in store for us.

The night ended, and I decided to go speak to her and exchange details. A few days later, we talked, and a week after the wedding, we went on our first date. Even after the restaurant had closed, we sat by the river just talking, and at that point, I knew I had found someone special. We went on many more dates, we travelled, we laughed, and our connection grew stronger. As our relationship grew, so did my certainty that I really and truly knew she was the one within 3 months of being together. Long before I finally dropped to one knee to make one of the best decisions of my life, I knew God confirmed what he showed me in my dream. Through her character, beauty, and love, I knew I just couldn’t let her go.
