Ever heard the saying, “What’s meant for you will always find its way to you?” That saying is a sweet reflection of Tomilade and Segun’s love story. 😍

These sweethearts first crossed paths in 2008 during their secondary school days. Segun was Tomilade’s senior, and they bonded over their shared love for football. Life eventually took them on separate paths, but Cupid was quietly working behind the scenes to realign their steps.

Everything played out perfectly when they reunited years later in Lagos, and this time, it was for keeps. Now, they get to spend the rest of their lives together as they exchange vows in a beautiful white wedding, set against the breathtaking backdrop of nature. From their stylish looks to the breathtaking decor and the evident love that filled the air, everything about the wedding was indeed beautiful!

Our journey began in 2008 when I switched schools from Vivian Fowler to Awesome College (yes, that’s an actual school lol). Though Segun was a year ahead, our paths crossed in the hallways, where fleeting glances eventually turned into meaningful conversations. We quickly bonded over our shared love for football, and what started as casual interactions began to form a special connection. As life took us in different directions—Segun graduating and I moving to the US for college—we lost touch. But fate had other plans. In 2014, we reconnected and found ourselves talking every night, despite the 6-hour time difference. We decided to keep the relationship platonic, as neither of us were interested in a long-distance romance.

The distance didn’t dampen our spirits, and our friendship grew stronger. Then came December 2017, when I visited Lagos for the first time in years. Our reunion was filled with joy and heartfelt conversations, and it was during this visit that we admitted our true feelings. Despite the miles between us, we decided to give the relationship a chance. Fast forward seven incredible years, and Segun, in our brand new apartment, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Our love story has been one of patience, growth, and unwavering commitment. We’re thrilled to start this new chapter together, surrounded by the love and support of our friends and family.
