Our story began in September 2019. James first saw me wearing blue jeans while I was with a friend. Curious, he walked over to say hello, wondering if we were Nigerians. At first, I thought he was interested in one of my friends, but my friend quickly realised James’ attention was actually on me and helped us exchange contacts. Before we parted ways, James confidently knew that we would cross paths again, and he was right. Our next meeting happened unexpectedly at a nightclub, where our connection continued to grow.

One moment that strengthened our bond came after I had a difficult exam. James met me in the lobby afterwards and reassured me that everything would be okay. His kindness, encouragement, and ability to sense exactly how I was feeling, without me saying a word, left a lasting impression on me. From that moment on, our friendship blossomed into a beautiful love story built on care, understanding, and unwavering support. Now, we’re saying “I do,” proving that sometimes, the most beautiful love stories begin with a simple hello.
