By the end of it, he had all the confirmation he needed; they were something special. Now this beautiful story has blossomed and has led to a breathtaking proposal. Uzoma got down on one knee and asked Joan to spend forever with him. Every great love story has a little magic behind it, and ours began with a sister’s intuition and a touch of fate. It started when Joan’s sister stumbled across my private Instagram and messaged me out of the blue, asking if I was single; she was certain her sister and I would make a great match. Curious, I asked for a picture, and the moment I saw her, something felt different. I sent that first message, and we started talking, slowly at first, on and off for a few days. Then came the phone call. Two hours long, and I remember exactly where I was: in the car, travelling.

By the time that call ended, I knew I was hooked; we were inseparable from that moment on. I wasn’t in the country at the time, so the first thing I did when I flew back to England was meet her in person. From there, it was nothing but magic, memories built one on top of the other, a connection that grew from friendship into best-friendship, and eventually into partnership. What began as a chance introduction from a sister who trusted her instincts became the love story we now call ours.
