In February 2021, I moved to a new country, excited for a fresh start but unsure of what the future held. Little did I know that this new chapter would lead me to the love of my life. A few months later, in May, Adetola followed me on Instagram and sent me a DM. What started as a simple conversation quickly became hours of effortless chats. After just a week, we decided to meet, only to discover that we lived just a 10-minute walk from each other. In a country where everything was unfamiliar, it felt like destiny had quietly placed us right around the corner from one another.

From that first meeting, we became inseparable. He became my safe place, kind, patient, and always showing up for me as I navigated life in a new country. He brought me comfort, laughter, and a sense of home when I needed it most. Somewhere between our long conversations, shared moments, and growing friendship, love found us. There was no grand confession or dramatic turning point; it happened gently and naturally. Before we knew it, the friendship we cherished had blossomed into a love story we’ll treasure forever.
