At #BellaNaijaWeddings we believe that every girl has the capacity to be more, has the right to quality opportunities and also the right to dream for a better future. But child marriage has been a plague ravishing the dreams of these girls. That’s we must all come together to take a stand to END CHILD MARRIAGE. We must lend our voices to help the girl child who has no voice in whatever way we can.
Every year, 12 million girls are married before they turn 18 which makes it one girl every 3 seconds. That number is expected to rise significantly due to the devastating impact that COVID-19 is having on girls everywhere. Last year, BellaNaija Weddings joined #EndChildMarriage campaign by UNICEF. That’s why this International Day of the Girl, we are joining in the #VowForGirls campaign by VOW to stand up for the rights of girls around the world. Starting from Monday, October 5th, 2020 to Sunday, October 11th, 2020, join us and take the #VowForGirls to help unlock critical funds for programs and organizations working to end child marriage. For every social media post, $1 will be donated to VOW to fight this cause. Every like, post, comment and share in the #VowForGirls social campaign this year will count.

Post the #VowForGirls video to social starting Monday, October 5, anytime after 6 am PT/9 am ET. You can also encourage your followers to #VowForGirls with you.
For example, you can post: Do you vow to help end the 12 million child marriages that happen every year? Now until #DayOfTheGirl (Oct. 11), post a photo with your hand raised using #VowForGirls. For every post, like, comment and share, @CrateAndBarrel ,@SundanceNow will donate $1, up to $85k, to @VowForGirls to stand up for girls’ rights and help end child marriage.
