Their Paths Crossed Time and Again Until Forever Became the Destination — It’s Time to #MeetTheMs

Love has a beautiful way of bringing together two people who are meant to be. Even when life takes them in different directions, it somehow finds a way to guide their paths back to each other in the most unexpected and magical ways.

Mfonabasi and Mayowa’s story goes all the way back to secondary school. Like something straight out of a romance movie, Cupid seemed determined to ensure they never lost touch. Over the years, they found themselves attending three different schools together and even worshipping at the same church. Time and again, their paths continued to cross, as though fate had a bigger plan in store for them… and it sure did!

Now, it’s all sparks, butterflies, and happily-ever-after vibes as they prepare to spend forever together. Their pre-wedding photos perfectly capture the love, warmth, and undeniable chemistry they share. Every frame tells the story of two hearts that were always destined to find their way back to each other. 😍

Their love story as shared by Mayowa:

We actually go way back. We attended the same secondary school and, funny enough, we ended up going to three different schools together over the years. We used to go home on the same bus every day. Somehow, it was always both of us sitting in the front seat. One memory I can never forget happened after I had already left the school. I wore those “nobody is going to see me outside” shorts, only for the bus to stop right where I was to say ‘hi’.

She looked out the window, saw me in those shorts, and gave me this pitying look like, “Ah ah, this boy is really suffering.” Omo, the thing pain me sha. Fast forward some years, we met again in church after I reached out to her because I noticed she was attending CCI, but I had never really seen her around. I told her she should say hi whenever she came to church. I introduced her to people so she would feel more comfortable settling in, and from there we became friends again.

Then, sometime around 2024, she fell ill for a while, so I kept checking in on her. Around that same period, she was job hunting and needed advice, so we started talking more often. From checking up on her health to helping with applications and life conversations, we somehow moved into talking every single day. And honestly, we have not stopped since. From sitting at the front seat of the school bus to riding shotgun for the rest of our lives. 1+1=1. M+M=M.
