Well, that’s exactly how Nana and Abubakar’s love story began.

What started as a random late-night phone call blossomed into a beautiful love story, and now, these sweethearts have sealed their union in a gorgeous Northern Nigerian wedding! Nana looked absolutely stunning, while Abubakar brought his own dapper looks to the celebration. Surrounded by their family and friends, the lovebirds celebrated their forever with a beautiful wedding dinner, and we’re so excited to share these lovely moments with you. Their love story, as shared by Nana:

My husband and I met in the most random way. On 28th January 2024, I was on one of my usual late-night calls with a close friend. We used to talk for hours, especially when we were bored; sometimes we’d barely even talk, just stay on the phone while doing our own thing. He had his phone on speaker that night, and Sadiq, who was his friend at the time, happened to be around. Sadiq had apparently heard me on the phone before and asked, “Who’s this person you’re always talking to?” I remember telling my friend, “Who’s asking? Please don’t give anybody the phone!” But before I could finish, he had already handed the phone to Sadiq.

That was our first conversation, and somehow, we ended up talking until almost 5 a.m. After that, we just never really stopped talking. Two weeks later, on Valentine’s Day, Sadiq surprised me with these really beautiful, oversized heart-shaped cheesecakes. And we finally met in person, and that same day, he told me he loved me. That was essentially the beginning of us dating, and the rest, as they say, is history. It’s funny looking back because there was never any plan to meet each other. It was literally just one late-night phone call that turned into everything we have today.
