We met on a dating app in late 2022, at a time when we were both seriously thinking about deleting the dating app altogether. Just before I logged off for good, we matched. He messaged me, we quickly moved to Instagram, and almost immediately had our first FaceTime call. That conversation felt easy and familiar, like we had known each other for much longer than we actually had. When it was time for our first date, I almost didn’t go. I was still healing from a past relationship and wasn’t sure I was ready. Thankfully, my friends encouraged me to give it a chance, and that decision changed everything. What was supposed to be a simple brunch turned into an unforgettable day. From brunch, we went for drinks, then to a lounge, spending the entire day together. By the end of it, I knew there was something special. He was kind, genuine, and refreshingly honest, and his honesty made me want to keep getting to know him. He asked me to be his girlfriend in March 2023. Later that same year, we got engaged, and in December 2023, we officially became husband and wife in a court wedding.
