Like all good love stories, ours depends a little on who you ask. We both have slightly different versions of how it all began… but for the purpose of this website, we’ve agreed on the following account. It was a sunny Sunday in the summer of 2023. After the church service, Pelumi walked up to me, smiled, and said I had a lovely smile. I thought that was sweet, so I smiled again, and we started chatting.

After a while, he asked for my Instagram handle. Unfortunately for him, I wasn’t on Instagram at the time. Instead, I offered him my number, and he gladly accepted. From that day on, we started talking… and we haven’t really stopped since. Now, if you’re wondering why we mentioned “different versions” of the story, here’s where the disagreement comes in.

Pelumi insists that he walked up to me because I had been staring at him throughout the entire service, and he felt it was only right to introduce himself afterwards. Meanwhile, from my perspective, I was simply taking pictures and Meanwhile, from my perspective, I was simply taking pictures and wondering why this guy kept staring at me the whole time. Either way, one thing we can both agree on is that we’re very glad one of us finally said hello.
